Taiwan's Techman Robot showcases cutting-edge technology at Automate 2025

At the company's stand will also present a new model of the TM6S robot.

Taiwan's Techman Robot is turning heads at this year's Automate 2025 exhibition with a range of advanced robotics solutions that could change how factories operate.

 

 

"Flying Trigger" Inspection Keeps Production Lines Moving

One of the most impressive technologies on display is Techman's high-speed "flying trigger" inspection system. Unlike traditional quality control that requires stopping production lines to check products, this AI-powered system can spot defects while items are still moving on the conveyor belt.

"This technology has helped our customers cut inspection time by nearly half," explained a Techman representative at the exhibition. "Factory managers no longer need to choose between speed and quality."

The system is already being used to inspect car seat components and server assembly lines, significantly reducing the need for human inspectors and cutting labor costs.

 

Supporting Taiwan's Semiconductor Industry

As a Taiwanese company, Techman Robot is well-positioned to serve the island's world-leading semiconductor industry. Taiwan produces a large percentage of the world's computer chips, and Techman is developing specialized solutions for this demanding sector.

The company has partnered with MSI, an automation specialist, to create systems that combine autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and collaborative robots (cobots) for handling delicate semiconductor wafers in clean room environments.

Techman has also formed an alliance with global packaging and testing giant ASMPT to modernize high-end production lines in semiconductor factories.

 

New Robot Model: TM6S Offers Extended Reach

Visitors to the Techman booth can also see the debut of the company's newest robot model, the TM6S. This lightweight collaborative robot weighs just 35.5 kg (about 78 pounds) but offers an impressive reach of 1800 mm (nearly 6 feet).

"The TM6S is perfect for workstations where space is limited but the robot needs to reach across a large work area," said the Techman spokesperson. "Its lightweight design makes it easy to install without heavy-duty support structures."

Despite its long reach, the robot maintains high repeatability, ensuring consistent precision in manufacturing tasks.

 

Smart Welding for Heavy Industry

In partnership with American company AMET Inc., Techman is also demonstrating an intelligent welding system designed specifically for shipbuilding and heavy steel structures.

This system combines Techman's robotics expertise with specialized welding technology to ensure consistent, high-quality welds in challenging industrial environments. The technology is particularly valuable for power equipment manufacturing, where weld quality is critical for safety and performance.

 

Expanding Global Footprint

Techman Robot's presence at Automate 2025 highlights Taiwan's growing influence in advanced manufacturing technologies. The company's focus on AI-powered robotics and industry-specific solutions is helping manufacturers around the world increase efficiency while maintaining quality.

As factories face pressure to produce more with fewer workers, technologies like Techman's "flying trigger" inspection and specialized robotics solutions are likely to become increasingly important across manufacturing sectors.
